Spam Filters in Shared Hosting
If you get a shared hosting plan from our company and if you use our email services, you will be able to set up spam filters for any of the email accounts that you set up from the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. With no more than several clicks, you can select between five different protection levels. If you start receiving spam, you can begin with the lowest one and then slowly raise the level until you stop getting spam. We use one of the best and most famous filters available on the market called SpamAssassin. It ‘scans’ the header section and the body of every message that you receive and calculates a spam score, based on which it either erases a particular email or permits it to reach your inbox. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel will also permit you to configure custom email filters and either get rid of unasked-for messages or redirect them to a third-party email address such as email@example.com where you can check them once more at a later time.
Spam Filters in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you get a semi-dedicated server package from our company and if you set up one or more email accounts with any of the domains hosted under the account, you’ll be able to activate the powerful, 5-level SpamAssassin filter that we provide and keep all unwelcome email messages away from your mailbox. This feature is accessible through the Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel and it can be enabled or disabled for any email account at any time. You can also tweak the level of protection with a few clicks in case junk messages still reach your mailbox or the filter starts erasing genuine email messages. Since you can select if the spam should be erased straight away or redirected to some other mailbox, you can set up firstname.lastname@example.org, for instance, and check all filtered messages there, so as to make certain that you will not omit a message that you need. The messages that the email filter permits to proceed will still be received in your mailbox.
