A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to inactive addresses under the same domain. For instance, an email sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get messages from friends or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be re-sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

In case you have a shared hosting with our company and you’d like to enable the catch-all option for a given email mailbox that you have in the hosting account, it will take literally only one single click of the mouse in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to do this. A catch-all button is available on the right-hand side of each email address that you have created under any domain registered in your account. You can choose one single address per domain name by clicking on the respective button. This will enable the feature instantaneously, so all emails sent to mistyped addresses will be delivered there. Clicking on the button for a second time will disable the catch-all feature. In case you have activated email forwarding, our system will display a warning notice and you won’t be able to activate the catch-all feature unless you deactivate the forwarding or you can simply choose some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be enabled effortlessly in case you have a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you have created with the domains hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be displayed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will notice a small-size symbol handily located directly next to each one. With just a single click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your preference provided that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with this option already enabled and there isn't activated email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and activate this feature using the menu that will come into sight. In case any of the requirements for creating a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will inform you, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
